Doorway to the spirit world
On the way from the village to the waterside you will come across a 'protective cotton tree' that is believed to be a doorway to the spirit world, and is used by the Bondo Society, the female secret society, for ceremonies usually relating to fertility or marriage.
Storytelling
Jene's chief is Mana Massaquoi, and he will be more than willing to tell you the history of the village and why this particular area was chosen as a settlement location. It is a very interesting storytelling experience.
